Sebaceous Hyperplasia Treatment

Sebaceous hyperplasia is a benign growth that most often occurs on the face of patients in Portland beginning as early as 30 years old, and especially in people with oily skin. These lesions are enlarged oil glands in the skin.

Sometimes they are seen on patients in Portland who have had extensive sun damage. Sebaceous hyperplasia has yellow or white bumps with a central dimple, often with small blood vessels running over the surface.  Although these never turn into skin cancers, they can be removed if they are unsightly.
